Trading Cups
A Trading Cup is a timed SIM perps competition you host from one link. The server checks every fill and freezes the final standings.
Hosting a cup
Press Host a cup (in the Arena, on the Trading Cups page, or HOST A CUP in the chart toolbar). The Host a trading cup dialog opens with sensible defaults, so Create cup works straight away.

The balance, players, leverage, visibility, entry and prize settings sit under More settings. A public cup needs a signed-in host, and every player in it must be signed in too. A private-link cup can let guests join from the link.
Joining
Open the cup's link, or press Join with code and type the code. Players wait in the lobby until the host starts the cup or the scheduled time arrives. With Invite only, the host approves each player.
During the cup
- Every player trades an isolated SIM account that starts with the cup's balance. It is separate from your personal SIM account.
- The terminal switches to the cup: the order panel reads CUP · SIM PERPS, leverage stops at the cup's cap, and Reduce-only is available.
- The server checks every fill against the venue's live best bid and ask and fills it at that price, and it finds liquidations from the candles. Orders are checked when they fill, not when you place them.
- While the cup is live, everyone sees the standings (equity and PnL) but not each other's positions or fills.
- Cup trades earn no XP.
Ranking and results
Standings rank by equity: balance plus unrealized PnL at the server's latest price. Ties go to higher realized PnL, then fewer exits, then the earlier join. A disqualified player ranks last.
When the cup ends the server waits a few seconds, checks for final liquidations, marks open positions at the close of the last 1-minute candle, ranks everyone and freezes the results with a hash. Fills become visible to everyone only then.
Verifying on Solana
Frozen cup results, and the daily and free-play boards after each UTC day, are built to be turned into a Merkle root and written to Solana in a public memo. On the Verify page your browser recomputes the root from your entry and its proof, compares it with the memo on chain and lists each check it ran.
Prizes and real money
Cups run on SIM money only. A prize line is set by the host: ChartRunner does not provide, hold or guarantee prizes.
